The new year 2024 brings fresh excitement in the mobile technology world. Major brands such as Xiaomi, Vivo, OnePlus, Samsung, Realme, Poco, and iQOO have poised themselves for numerous brilliant launches, promising both innovation and variety for consumers across wide-ranging price segments.

Xiaomi Redmi Note 13 Series

The Redmi Note 13 series will kickstart the year with its debut in India on January 4. This launch is led by the commanding Redmi Note 13 Pro Plus, its dynamism reflected in its sophisticated features—the MediaTek Dimensity 7200 Ultra chipset, a 6.67-inch 1.5K OLED display, and a 5,000mAh battery coupled with a 120W fast wired charging capacity. With the rest of the series also boosting competitive specs, Xiaomi looks set to make a solid start for the year.

Vivo X100 Series

Hot on Xiaomi’s heels, Vivo also plans to introduce its X100 series in India on January 4. This series is a photographer’s delight, featuring models X100 and X100 Pro, both powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9300 processor. In particular, the X100 Pro is a standout, boasting a 50MP 1-inch IMX989 VCS bionic sensor, a lens with optical image stabilization, and multiple camera components promoting improved photographic results.

OnePlus 12R and OnePlus 12

Leading the OnePlus fleet, the OnePlus 12R and OnePlus 12 are scheduled for a global launch on January 23. Equipped with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor and myriad camera capabilities, these models mark the start of the previously India-exclusive R-series’ adventure into global territory.

Samsung Galaxy S24 Series

Keenly expected on January 17, the Samsung Galaxy S24 series, comprising the Galaxy S24, S24 Plus, and S24 Ultra models, will be powered by the formidable Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. Apart from performance, the Ultra model is likely to draw significant attention due to its high-end capabilities.

Poco X6 Series

Another major launch on the horizon is the Poco X6 series, earmarked for release in India this month. The series, headlined by the Poco X6 Pro, represents MediaTek’s Dimensity 8300-Ultra’s Indian debut. With expectations pointing towards the Pro being a rebranded Redmi K70E, the Poco X6 series is guaranteed a level of fanfare.

Realme 12 Pro Series

Realme adds sparks to the smartphone launch race by teasing a periscope telephoto camera for its upcoming Realme 12 Pro Plus. Although the specific launch date is yet to be confirmed, Realme is sure to garner interest when it unveils more details on January 3.

Oppo Reno 11 Series

Oppo plans to roll out its Reno 11 series, comprising the Reno 11 and Reno 11 Pro models, globally on January 11. Speculations suggest that these models might feature upgraded capabilities compared to their Chinese counterparts.

iQOO Neo 9 Pro

Late December 2023 saw the launch of the iQOO Neo 9 series in China. Buzz around the smartphone world suggests that one of these models, the iQOO Neo 9 Pro, might soon be heading to India. With its MediaTek Dimensity 9300 processor and an attractive price tag of around Rs 35,000, the iQOO Neo 9 Pro would round off the January launches on an exciting note.

As the year commences, brands like Xiaomi, Vivo, OnePlus, Samsung, and others are preparing to serve an ample array of smartphones to cater to a broad spectrum of consumer preferences and budgets.
